Doha: The Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage,
H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, inaugurated the second annual winter Sealine Camp as part of the Ministry’s youth development initiatives.
Dr Al Kuwari said that the event aims to introduce the deeply-rooted Qatari culture to the new generations and provide an excellent opportunity to discover Qatar’s rich heritage.
The camp, which includes a number of cultural and entrainment events, is closely connected to promoting tourism and culture in Qatar and would further enhance its communication with the other countries, he added.
IAD organises training programmes
Doha: The Institute of Administrative Development (IAD) will hold 10 new training programmes as part of its annual training plan for the year 2012-2013 in which employees from the different ministries and other government institutions get training.
Seven programmes are set to be launched today, such as preparation of procedure manuals, archiving and organising documents, MS Project applications, Microsoft Excel (Advanced), interpersonal skills, development of leadership skills and excellence in health services.
Three workshops will be held covering topics of preparing governmental letters and memos, creativity and innovation at work, commitment and belonging to the career.
Sri Lanka National Day tomorrow
Doha: To mark the National Day of Sri Lanka on Monday, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held at the embassy of Sri Lanka in Al Hilal area at 9am. The embassy has invited all Sri Lankan nationals in Doha to attend the ceremony.
