Doha: Two Ministry of Interior (MoI) officers studying on MoI scholarship received their Doctoral and Master’s degrees in Public Administration from Derby University, UK. They received certificates and medals of excellence at the graduation ceremony held at the university building.
The Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi congratulated the officers for their excellent performance and wished them success in their tasks. He said that the MOI scholarship holders are competent young nationals who can take on their shoulders the responsibility of maintaining security in the society. He also stressed that the security work is always in constant evolution thanks to the young graduates.
Captain Jabar Hammoud Al Nuaimi from the Strategic Planning Department (SPD) received his Doctoral Degree in Administration Science with distinction, after four years’ research and study.
Al Nuaimi said that he was sent by the Ministry to Dubai Police Academy in 1998 for his Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma in Policing Science where he was awarded the first rank.
He completed his Masters Degree in Administration Science from Naif University for Security Sciences, Saudi Arabia, on MoI scholarship. Later he was sent to the UK to complete his doctoral studies in Administration Science.
Captaain Faisal Al Muhannadi from Arab and International Police Communication Department received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration with First Class.
He had completed his Licence Degree in Legal and Policing studies with First Class in 2005 from Abu Dhabi Police College on MoI scholarship. He was the first MoI officer to be sent for a field training course at FBI Academy, US, where he attended some other sessions at Virginia University also and he was sent to Derby University for his post graduation in Public Administration. The officers expressed their joy on completing their studies and thanked the MoI for its scholarship and support.
