The police had to cordon off a small stretch of Al Waab Street near Tyseer Petrol station yesterday when a patch in the middle of the road suddenly caved in. Al Sharq reports that the cave-in was caused by a technical flaw in the road design. The daily said people are demanding that legal action be initiated against the contractors who built the thoroughfare.
