Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has urged the public to remain alert against fraudulent text messages, emails, phone calls and fake websites impersonating the ministry and other official entities.
In a post shared on social media, the ministry said such scams may claim outstanding fees, request urgent payments or threaten suspension of services, targeting health card users and beneficiaries of its services, including food safety, medical commission and healthcare professions.
MoPH stressed that it does not request bank details or any sensitive or confidential information through phone calls, text messages or emails, and that all payments and personal data updates must be completed only through official government platforms.
The ministry urged the public not to interact with suspicious messages or calls, avoid clicking on unknown links or scanning QR codes, and not share passwords or verification codes.
Residents are advised to rely only on official and approved MoPH channels for accurate information and services.
