DOHA: The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has started admissions to the 10  evening schools located in Doha and its outskirts with new academic year beginning next week.

Admission to the evening classes is open to school drops outs as well as those who are not enrolled in the regular schools.

The SEC has already started registration of students seeking admission in evening schools that provide a parallel form of education.

The schools will function at the premises of Independent schools in various locations across the country. Besides evening classes, the SEC is also providing “home education” to people who have not enrolled in the regular stream.

Male and female Qataris, GCC citizens, children of Qatari women married to foreigner and holders of temporary residential permits issued by the Ministry of Interior can seek admission in the evening and home.

Those seeking admission in the evening classes can register their names in any of the schools where the facility is available, said the SEC.
