MOSUL: A bomb attack stopped oil flows through the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline linking Iraq to Turkey early on Tuesday, Iraqi oil officials said.

The attack took place at around 0200 GMT near Ein al-Jahash area 30 km or 20 miles south of the city of Mosul.

The officials said repairs would take about 24 hours.

"Militants planted a bomb near a section of the pipeline, halting the crude flow."

"We have sent a technical team to the location to evaluate the damage and start repair work," a North Oil Company source said. (Reuters)
