DOHA: Qatar Airways will operate a new non-stop five-time-a-week service between Doha and Cape Town, South Africa, from November 3.
Cape Town, which is served three-time-a-week via Johannesburg, is one of the airline’s most popular African destinations. Thanks to continuous growth of the airline’s fleet and increasing passenger demand to the city, the airline is offering non-stop services to Cape Town for the first time, QA said in statement.
With excellent connections to the world via Doha, the new non-stop route will benefit passengers throughout QA’s global network.
The route will be operated by QA’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft which features 22 seats in Business Class and 232 in Economy Class, with the latest interactive inflight entertainment system featuring over 1,000 options in all cabin classes.
QA Group CEO Akbar Al Baker said: “We are very pleased that we are now able to offer our passengers a non-stop service between Doha and Cape Town.
“Cape Town has long been one of the most popular destinations with passengers throughout our worldwide network, and with the new services, we are now able to provide our customers with quicker and more convenient connections to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We also look forward to our passengers from Cape Town experiencing our five-star service as they fly with us non-stop to Doha and onwards to over 140 destinations.”
All QA passengers now fly through the airline’s new hub in Doha — Hamad International Airport.
