Al Sadd trounce Lekhwiya 3-0

Doha: Defending champions Lekhwiya crashed to 3-0 defeat at home to Al Sadd in the sixth round match of the Qatar Stars League here yesterday.
Goals from Nadir Belhadj, Rodrigo Tabata and Khalfan Ibrahim helped the Wolves to move clear at the QSL summit.
With yesterday’s defeat, their first, Lekhwiya now have 15 points from six points, one less than leaders Al Sadd.
Yesterday at Lekhwiya Stadium Al Sadd struck in the 27 minute through Belhadj.
After the change of ends, Al Sadd struck once again.
Tabata found success in the 51st minute to give his team a 2-0 lead.
Al Sadd were on a roll thereafter and added a third one seven minutes later with prolific scorer  Khalfan Ibrahim finding the back of the nets. In the other matches, Al Ahli edged Al Shamal 1-0.
Kaluyituka Daiko scored the match winner for Al Ahli in the 48th minute.
Al Ahli are now in the fifth place with ten points behind Qatar SC, who have 12 points
In another match, third-placed El Jaish trounced Al Sailiya 5-1, while the Umm Salal and Al Wakra match endless in a goalless draw.  
Khaled Al Zereiqi gave the lead for El Jaish in the 36th minute. In the second half, Yaser Abou Baker added the second one in the 55th minute, thereafter Romarinho, Muntari M and Ilyas A scored one goal apiece
Mohammed Salah Al Neel pulled one back for Al Sailiya.
El Jaish now have 12 points from six matches, the same number as Qatar SC.
Al Sailiya, who are having a poor season after having a dream run last season, have just three points from five matches.
Al Shamal after yesterday’s loss, the fourth of the league, remained at the bottom with two points from the two draws. Umm Salal have five from six matches.
