Qatar State Security announces the arrest of two cells affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard

Doha: As part of ongoing efforts to protect the security and stability of the State of Qatar, the competent authorities have arrested two cells operating on behalf of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the State of Qatar.

Monitoring and follow-up operations resulted in the arrest of ten suspects. Seven of them were tasked with espionage missions to gather information about vital and military installations in the country, while the other three were tasked with carrying out acts of sabotage and had received training in the use of drones.

Locations and coordinates of sensitive facilities and installations, communication devices, and technological equipment were also found in their possession.

During the investigations, the suspects confessed to their affiliation with the IRGC and their assignment to carry out espionage and sabotage missions.

State Security urged citizens and residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the competent authorities.
