Rare Islamic pieces ranging from Kaaba covers and Holy Qurans and verses from the Quran on the creation of the universe are some the interesting features of an exhibition which opened on Thursday in Katara. The expo, which runs until July 31, is spread in four galleries in Building 18 and 19. At “The Hoy Quran and Astronomy Exhibition,” up to 110 verses from the Quran relating to the universe are displayed, while various types of astrolabes, calligraphies, Kaaba covers and Qurans from various eras are showcased at the “Astrolabe Exhibition.” Another gallery features the solar system as well as forty-one stunning photos of the heavens, stars and the Quran by the Qatar Photographic Society.
