Doha, Qatar: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received the credentials of five new ambassadors to the State of Qatar at his office in Lusail Palace on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
The Amir received the credentials of HE Adam Shareef Umar, Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives; HE Hong Jeepio, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea; HE Jeta Kreka, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania; HE Bakyt Batyrshayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and HE Maria Camilleri Calleja, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta.
His Highness the Amir welcomed the new ambassadors, wishing them success in their duties and expressing his hope for further progress and prosperity in the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and their respective countries.
For their part, the ambassadors conveyed to His Highness the Amir the greetings of their heads of state and their wishes for continued progress and development for the Qatari people.
An official reception ceremony was held for the ambassadors upon their arrival at Lusail Palace.
