DOHA: Qatar University (QU) College of Engineering (CENG) students recently celebrated winning the Best International Academic Exchange Award 2013 during their first-ever participation in the International Aerial Robotics Competition held in Beijing.

The four electrical engineering students Esmaeil Ali Zadeh, Abdullah Zia, Mohammed Mushtaha and Khalid Farid Abdullatif, supervised by Assistant Professor Dr Nader Meskin, participated among 60 competing students from 12 universities.

Their winning presentation included a flight demonstration of their Aerial Robot which was designed and constructed in the framework of their senior design project.

Congratulating the students, CENG Dean Dr Rashid Alammari said: “Our students have yet again demonstrated the level of academic excellence and quality for which QU is well-recognised.

New and prospective students can be assured of invaluable opportunities and experiences at the College that will guide them to becoming Qatar’s engineers of the future and contributing to the country’s development and progress.”
