RIYADH: The 32nd International Agriculture, Water and Agro-Industry trade show opens September 15 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre (RICEC).
The four-day expo which will showcase latest agricultural products, equipment and services is being held under the patronage of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Agriculture.
Attendees include agro industry decision-makers, government representatives, agronomists, researchers, farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, supermarket chains, food traders, importers and project managers.
From India 39 firms will participate showcase their products at a dedicated India pavilion.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Food Processing Industry, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India Trade Promotion Organisation and other departments would be attending the expo.
Saudi Arabia is India's fourth largest trading partner with a bilateral trade crossing $43 Billion in 2012-13.
India's huge agro resource base and a host of natural advantages make it a chosen destination for sourcing a variety of agricultural products, a Press Trust of India (PTI) report said Wednesday citing a statement from Indian embassy in Riyadh.
The total Indian agri exports were $22,138 Million during 2012-13, out of which Saudi Arabia accounted for $1,203 Million during this period, PTI added. (QNA)
