Doha: The second World Summit for Social Development-Doha 2025, which the State of Qatar is set to host tomorrow, represents a high-profile global platform for sharing successful expertise and experiences in the area of social development, CEO of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) Rashid Al Naimi told Qatar News Agency (QNA).
Al Naimi emphasized that the summit will contribute to charting visions and policies that foster social justice, creating an opportunity to shed light on the State of Qatar’s leading efforts in promoting social development and the principles of cohesion and interdependence.
He noted that the summit will demonstrate integration between civil society institutions and government agencies in supporting targeted groups, underscoring the Qatar National Vision 2030 in building a tight-knit, prosperous community founded on justice and equality.
He further indicated that the participation of QFSW, along with its operating centres, in this summit comes as part of its commitment to the national mission of supporting these segments and empowering them to effectively contribute to sustainable development through the exchange of expertise and the provision of creative models in social care.
Al Naimi highlighted that during the summit, QFSW will organize several sessions and events that showcase national experiences in the field of social inclusion, mental health promotion, and family support, in addition to leveraging technology as a social enabler to achieve comprehensive development.
He underscored the QFSW’s commitment to utilizing such platforms to reinforce collaboration with regional and international organizations.
