Doha: Bayern Munich held Saturday their first training session of their winter camp, at Aspire Zone. The German champions will continue training in Doha until January 10.
In a press conference held today, the team's coach Niko Kovac said he was confident Bayern can continue putting Borussia Dortmund under pressure in the title race. He added that he was delighted with the training atmosphere in Qatar, adding that the players were fully focused on the camp.
On the meeting with Liverpool in the Champions League, he said that the team still have time to prepare for that encounter. He maintained however that the top priority now was the training camp, as it will help ensure they have a good second half of the season.
Liverpool and Bayern Munich will meet in the first on February 19, and in the second on March 13.
