Doha: Qatar Exchange index closed 161.65 points, or -1.32 percent, lower when it closed yesterday at 12,130.25 points from Tuesday’s position of 12,291.90 points.
The traded value decreased to QR335.36m with a volume of 5,182,912 shares from 3,756 transactions compared with QR406.49m with a volume of 8,557,766 shares from 5,472 transactions on Tuesday.
Indices of all sectors ended in the red zone barring insurance which gained slightly by 0.02 percent to 4,126.35 points. Banks and financial services index declined the most with 2.09 percent fall to 3,227.46 points followed by telecoms with a 1.26 percent fall to 1,415.35 points.
Shares of 32 companies closed lower today, ten gained while one remained unchanged. QNA
