Sri Lankan Majlis Qatar (SLMQ) organised, for the thirteenth consecutive year, the annual competitions to mark the 67th Independence Day of Sri Lanka with the patronage of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Qatar.
These competitions were open to all Sri Lankan children living in Qatar. The event was held on February 13 at the Sri Lankan embassy premises.
Competitions were held various categories among four aged groups.
The competition was witnessed by a large gathering. All contests were judged by a panel of independent international judges and winners were awarded with certificates and prizes.
The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar Jayantha Palipane was the Chief Guest and distributed the certificates and prizes to the winners.
