DOHA: A batch of 9 debaters from DPS Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) participated and proved their stance in the second round of QSDL (QSDL-II), held in Sherborne Qatar recently.
The competitive team was accompanied byJaya Majumder and Somasundaram.
The battle of words focused on the recent conflicts in Jerusalem, monitoring Internet activity, celebrities supporting charity campaigns anonymously and requirement of special needs schools for special needs children.
At the end of the day, team Sandra, Kangha and Nakshatra bagged the first place in all four debates, followed by team Priyal, Najah, and Arya. Team Arooj, Saumya and Sneha won two debates and secured 18th place among 52 teams.
In the individual category, among 155 debaters, Nakshatra bagged first place followed by Sandra and Najah at 5th, Arya 12th, Kanaga 17th, Priyal 21st, Sneha and Saumya 28th and Arooj at 44th position.
DPS-MIS topped among all 31 schools by earning the highest cumulative points and qualified for National Championship 2018.
