DOHA: The Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, laid the foundation stone for the new Support Campus Complex of QP Gas Operations at Mesaieed, yesterday.
Dr Al Sada was accompanied by a number of QP Directors and members of QP top management team.
Addressing the event, the minister highlighted the contributions of QP Gas Operations towards Qatar’s development by being the principal supplier of fuel gas and hydrocarbon feedstock to a wide array of industries and power plants in Qatar. Highlighting QP Gas Operations’ commitment to sustainable development, he explained various initiatives being taken by the company.
The Director of QP Operations Said Al Mohannadi and Operations Manager Eid Mubarak Al Muhannadi, were also present.
Later, Dr Al Sada presided over a recognition ceremony for the retired long-serving ex-Gas Operations staff. The minister also gave away “Gas Operations 2012 Awards” to the department managers. Dr Al Sada also inaugurated an exhibition showcasing achievements and activities of various departments of QP’s Gas Operations. He also took the opportunity to interact with the Qatari trainees.
