DOHA: Seck Oumar struck purple patch on day one of the 2016 Emir Cup yesterday when he scored 36 points to lead Al Arabi to a comprehensive 92-63 win over Al Khor.
Soyebo Temi Narcellius scored 17 points while team-mate Hamed Ibnomer Moutasim produced a tally of 16 points as Al Arabi dominated proceedings at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall.
Narcellius had 9 assists while Oumar managed a tally of 4 assists.
Matalqah Osama Adel scored 14 points as Al Arabi - coached by Hatem Mamlouk - retained lead in all the four quarters of the first game of the Emir Cup.
Al Khor - coached by Ahmed Kamel - were lifted by Abdulrahman Mohammad’s 20 points and 6 assists.
Alen Hadzibegovic chipped in with 16 points while Celebi Visam Tarik scored 10 points.
In the second game of the day, Al Wakrah crushed Al Shamal 76-53.
Boney Harold Watson scored 23 points to go along with his 6 assists in Al Wakrah’s first win.
Abouo Charles produced a tally of 16 points (6 assists) while Ndour Mame Souleye managed 14 points.
Mujkic Emir (9) and Abdulla Mohammed Seleem (8) were the other two main players for Al Wakrah.
