El Jaish defender Yasir Abubakar Isa
El Jaish will be boosted by the return of their star defender Yasir Abubakar Isa when they meet Al Gharafa in their Qatar Stars League (QSL) round 25 clash against Al Gharafa tomorrow.
The Qatar international was missed the opportunity to play against Lekhwiya on Sunday after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season during the his side's 2-1 win over Muaither in round 23.
Abubakar’s absence was keenly felt by Sabri Lamouchi’s side, falling to a heavy 5-1 defeat to their local rivals Lekhwiya who extended their lead in the QSL standings.
El Jaish are currently in fourth place in the QSL standings, with a tally of 45 points from 24 QSL games and have already booked their place in the 2017 Qatar Cup, along with Lekhwiya, Al Sadd and Al Rayyan.
Tomorrow's match will be played at the Al Gharafa Stadium.
Meanwhile, the penultimate round of the QSL season will also see a relegation battle and two key matches that could determine the winners of QSL falcon shield.
Table toppers Lekhwiya will take on Al Ahli, aiming for full points which will assure their fifth QSL falcon shield.
On the other hand, Al Ahli will be looking to upset Lekhwiya to confirm their stay at the top league for another season.
Second placed Al Sadd will be looking to take the battle for title into the final round of the season with a victory over Al Sailiya.
The Wolves come into the tie in fine form, after a convincing 4-1 win over the defending champions Al Rayyan last Sunday, while Al Sailiya will put every effort to stay out of relegation troubles.
