The Next Generation School presents Education Award

The Next Generation School presented this year’s (fifth year)  ‘TNG Education Award’ in TNG 4th Leadership Programme Grand Finale held at TNG Ain Khalid campus on March 30. 

The Next Generation School presents “TNG Education Award” every year since five years to the community members as a token of recognition for their worthy contribution in the field of education in Qatar that serve as an inspiration to our young future leaders.

A large number of students, parents, community members and civil society attended the event. 

Dr Aize bin Dabsan Al Qahtani - the first recipient of TNG Education Award, is a Qatari personality well-known locally and in the region through his work in the humanitarian sector and his numerous programmes and interventions in regional and international stations. Dr Al Qahtani has filled a number of positions in the public and civil society sectors before moving into the humanitarian sector where he hold the post of deputy Director General of the charitable Eid Foundation (2006-2009) before becoming General Director and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (also known as RAF foundation) since its inception in 2009.

Second TNG Education Award recipient is Farooq S. Burney - the Executive Director of Al Fakoora - a programme of Education Above All in Doha, Qatar which works with partners to offer access to higher education for maginalised youth by providing comprehensive scholarship and empowerment programs including leadership development and psychosocial services. 

The third TNG Education Award was given to Bushra Resham. She is focused with strong commitment to serve the various developmental sectors including the educational sector. She co-founded a community two years ago, now called “ËDCLUDE” with a goal of inclusive education. 

Another recipient is Nawal Hafeez  - an education enthusiast and a strong advocate for educational equality. She is the co-founder of the Special Education Program which has been an integral part of TNG since September, 2015.  She is also a member of the Global Shapers community in Doha Hub which is an initiative of the World Economic Forum. 

Training Section of Ministry of Interior as one of the TNG Education Awardees was recognized for its important role for citizens, residents and MoI. Training section works under the Leadership of HR department of MoI, which scientifically and practically develops special training and awareness programs for better safety and security of citizens and residents and school students.

Police College is also a recipient of TNG Education Award with its aim to prepare the students to be trained scientifically and practically in the safety, security and legal fields of the police department, to be officers in the police force keeping pace with the development of required knowledge.
