Washington: SpaceX launched 29 Starlink satellites into space as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its satellite internet network worldwide.
The company stated in a press release that the Falcon 9 rocket launched from Cape Canaveral, the US Space Force's launch site in Florida, after a brief delay due to thunderstorms.
The company noted that the rocket successfully completed its twelfth flight and landed accurately on the USS Shortfall of Gravitas, a US Navy drone ship, in the Atlantic Ocean after completing its mission.
This mission, the company's 64th this year, is part of SpaceX's plans to expand its Starlink network in low Earth orbit.
This launch came less than 19 hours after a previous mission from the US West Coast, which deployed an additional 24 Starlink satellites using another Falcon 9 rocket.
This launch is part of SpaceX's ongoing plan to expand its satellite internet network, which currently comprises more than 10,000 satellites in orbit
