Caracas, Venezuela: Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela HE Delcy Rodríguez awarded the "Heroes of Venezuela" medal to the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).
The honour comes in recognition of the group’s humanitarian efforts during rescue and relief operations following the twin earthquake that struck the country.
This recognition culminates the Qatari team’s successful relief missions, during which they demonstrated a high level of professionalism, rapid response, and commitment to humanitarian duty, with their efforts serving as a model for international cooperation in disaster response, mitigation, and alleviating the suffering of those affected.
