DOHA: Qatar Exchange continued upswing trend on Monday, adding 43.91 points or 0.45 percent to advance to 9,808.46 points from 9,764.55 on Sunday.
The volume of the shares decreased to 4,958,044 from 5,580,410 on Sunday and the value of shares fell to QR244,267,468.19 from QR270,770,267.17.
Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 0.25 percent to QR159.90, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 0.58 percent to QR69.80, Barwa Real Estate gained 0.40 percent to QR25.00 and Masraf Al Rayan up by 0.35 percent to QR28.90.
The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.35 points, while Insurance sector index up 0.71 points and Industrial sector rose 0.40 points. (QNA)
