Ideal Indian School (IIS) conducted refresher course for its teachers recently. The three-day orientation programme provided a platform for the teachers to interact and catch up on the latest developments in education, and also allowed them to become familiar with changes in the curriculum.
Several workshops were conducted by experts during the course. The principal, Syed Shoukath Ali, conducted a workshop on effective classroom management. “The three pillars of leadership” was the topic of a talk by the guest speaker, Manian Narayanan. Vidhyasankar, headmaster, Boys’ Section, spoke on the need for value-based education, while counsellor Riyaz spoke on stress management and CCE coordinator Khatija discussed ‘Tools and techniques of evaluation of co-scholastic areas.’
The various departments conducted model classes so as to help overcome shortcomings and improve teaching skills.
