Twiga is a multi-dimensional escape from ordinary where authentic cuisine, eclectic design and lively beats come together in an exciting mix, for the delight of a cosmopolitan clientele.
Translating as Giraffe in Swahili, Twiga is inspired by Italian entrepreneur Flavio Briatore’s love for Africa. Fascinated by the coastal, milder landscape of Malindi, he wished to translate the city’s wild charm into a dynamic dining concept, aiming to become a welcoming, glamorous home-away-from home for a discerning clientele.
Following the launch of Twiga Beach Versilia in 1998, the brand quickly established itself as a go-to destination for an international audience looking to create unforgettable memories. Popping in the trendiest urban hotspots such as Monte Carlo and London, Twiga is on a mission to bring the art of surprise around the world, designing spectacular experiences of extreme quality to offer a vibrant, full-on dining experience with a lifestyle feel.
Designed by architecture firm Sagrada, the eclectic interior design boasts an unconventional décor: the African influence drives the warm interior color palette, inspired by its breathtaking landscapes and wildlife.
The New-Asian influence conveys volume and form, recalling the art of origami while the Italian influence brings cohesion, subtlety in pattern, rich textures, and luxurious materials. All together, they offer an imaginative mix of refined ethnic and modern inspirations artfully combined into an exciting and harmonious whole.
Inspired by the urban Twiga Monte Carlo, guests can expect at this Printemps Doha’s outpost an extraordinary selection of a la carte dishes including taglioni all’astice, risotto Milanese, lobster Catalana, and sushi selection where Italian and New-Asian flavors come together to deliver an unparalleled culinary experience to suit either a relaxed lunch with family or a fancy dinner celebration with friends.
