DOHA: The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) is studying a proposal to build a multistorey parking facility at Medical Commission to address the shortage of parking space.
An alternative proposal to convert some green areas on the commission premises into parking spaces is also under consideration, Al Sharq reported.
The commission conducts the mandatory health check-ups and attracts hundreds of visitors every day. The SCH issued a statement to the daily in response to a report quoting citizens and expatriates complaining about parking problems at the facility.
The SCH said it was taking steps to resolve the issue.
With the number of visitors growing, the existing parking areas prove inadequate during peak hours, said the statement.
