Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has issued a comprehensive set of guidelines to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of distance learning, emphasising that remote education is a shared responsibility among students, schools, and families.

The Ministry stressed that achieving high-quality learning outcomes depends on students’ commitment, the readiness of administrative and teaching staff, and the active support of parents. Through coordinated efforts, the education process can continue efficiently while maintaining academic standards.

According to the guidelines, students are required to adhere strictly to their approved class schedules and attend live lessons at the designated times. They must log in to classes through Microsoft Teams punctually and avoid absenteeism, noting that missing two or more classes will result in being marked absent. Students are also urged to follow updates issued through the official communication channels of their schools and the Ministry.

To create a successful distance learning experience, the Ministry advised students to select a quiet and appropriate space for studying and to ensure their devices and internet connections are fully functional before lessons begin. During classes, students are expected to follow instructions carefully, keep microphones muted unless permitted to speak, actively participate in discussions, and submit assignments on time.

The Ministry underscored the crucial role of parents in supporting continuity in learning. Parents are encouraged to provide a suitable home environment, ensure devices are ready before classes start, monitor their children’s daily attendance, reinforce positive behaviour and discipline with the school when necessary.
