ISLAMABAD: After seven months Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and lawmakers from the party have arrived at Parliament to attend Monday’s joint- session.
In August PTI MNAs had resigned from the NA in protest against alleged rigging in the 2013 general elections.
Speaking to media upon his arrival Khan said he stood by his statements pertaining to Parliament.
PTI leader Shireen Mazari said the government had formed the judicial commission and now her party will play its role in Parliament. She said there was no need to apologise as the PTI had not attacked parliament.
When asked about the situation in Yemen, Mazari replied that this was someone else’s war and was not for the defence of Makkah Madina.
PTI lawmaker Shafqaat Mahmood said they would discuss the situation in Yemen in today’s session. He added that PTI wanted to open four constituencies earlier but now the entire election was under scrutiny. According to Mahnmood the PTI still considered this parliament to be rigged.
