Doha, Qatar: The Royal Thai Embassy launched on September 3, 2026, ‘Thai Restaurant Week 2026: A Taste of Thailand’, an in-store promotional campaign celebrating Thailand’s rich culinary traditions and cultural heritage, in collaboration with 12 Thai restaurants across Qatar.
The launch reception, held at Saffron, Banyan Tree Doha Hotel, was attended by more than 100 distinguished guests, including representatives from Qatari governmental agencies, members of the diplomatic corps, private sector executives, media representatives, and prominent social media influencers.
Guests were invited to experience the diversity of Thai culture and cuisine through a cultural performance, live Thai cooking and fruits carving demonstrations as well as a tasting of selected Thai dishes from participating restaurants, offering a preview of the culinary experiences available throughout the Thai Restaurant Week 2026.
On this occasion, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar H E Pensom Lertsithichai highlighted the significance of Thai Restaurant Week 2026. “Thailand and Qatar enjoy warm, longstanding bilateral relations built on mutual respect, shared trust, and vibrant people-to-people ties. While our diplomatic and economic partnerships continue to grow across many sectors, it is often through our cultural heritage and culinary traditions that nations foster the deepest understanding and mutual appreciation,” she said.
The Thai Restaurant Week 2026 will continue until September 19, 2026 at 12 participating Thai restaurants across Qatar.
Throughout the campaign, participating restaurants will offer specially curated menus at exclusive fixed prices of QR39, QR59, and QR89, available for lunch, dinner, or all-day dining, depending on the participating restaurant. The menus showcase the diversity of Thai cuisine, its distinctive flavours, culinary craftsmanship, and the cultural heritage behind each dish.
The initiative invites residents and visitors in Qatar to discover Thailand through its cuisine and to experience the stories, traditions, and cultural values reflected in Thai food.
Members of the public are invited to share their Thai Restaurant Week experiences on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #ThaiWeekQatar2026 and participate in the campaign’s raffle draw for a chance to win a range of prizes. Prizes include dining vouchers from participating restaurants: including Thai Kitchen, Pochana, CHX N RISE, Sabai Thai, Khaosan, Isaan, The Siam, Thai Aroi, Sritubtim, and Saffron, as well as pool access at Banyan Tree Doha Hotel.
Through Thai Restaurant Week 2026, residents and visitors in Qatar are invited to explore the distinctive flavours of Thai cuisine, which is internationally recognised for its diversity and character, while gaining a deeper appreciation of the cultural heritage and traditions behind Thailand’s culinary identity.
