DOHA: The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) is organising an international seminar in December to discuss changes affecting the Arab Family brought about by population and demographic dynamics.

It will also assess policy implications of these changes.

The deadline for submission of papers for the conference is August 15 and scientists, policymakers, researchers and academics are submitting papers.

Taking place on December 2 and 3, the seminar will bring together international, regional and national population scientists, policymakers and researchers involved in the study of the Arab family.

It will address five main topics related to Arab families: Marriage and Family Formation; Trends and Patterns in Fertility and Family Size; Population Migration and the Family; Adolescents and the Family; and Intergenerational and Gender Issues Affecting Family Cohesion.

The seminar is witnessing great interest from local, regional and international scientists.

Scientists and researchers interested in presenting their work at the seminar are invited to submit an online proposal on the DIFI website. Language at the seminar will be Arabic and English. Abstracts and final papers may be submitted and presented in either language. The Peninsula
