Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) urged users to extend or renew their on-arrival visas electronically through its website without the need to visit the General Directorate of Passports or service centres.
The ministry said users can complete the visa extension process online by following a series of steps on the MOI website.
Applicants should first visit moi.gov.qa, select “Inquiries”, and then choose “Visa Services.” They should then select “Visa Extension” followed by “Inquiry and Extension.”
Applicants will be required to enter their visa details. The system allows inquiries to be made using the ID number of the sponsor, representative or authorised person, as well as the date the application was submitted.
Before proceeding, applicants must ensure that they meet the required health insurance conditions. The system provides a link to a list of approved health insurance companies.
Once the requirements are verified, applicants can select their preferred extension period, pay the applicable fees electronically and complete the process online.
