DOHA: The Police College has received a second batch of students for 50-day training.
The students have been divided into five groups for field training, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports.
The batch was welcomed by Brigadier Dr Mohammad Abdullah Al Mihanna Al Marri, Director-General of the college; Dr Jabar Hammoud Al Naimi, Head, Financial and Administrative Affairs Department; and Captain Fahad Saed Al Subai, Head, Training Department.
“I am happy to receive the second batch of students,” said Major General Dr Abdullah Yousuf Al Mulla, Adviser to the Interior Minister and Deputy Chairman, Supreme Council for Police College.
“I am confident that the college will give high-level training to the students in the security and legal fields, he added.
“I hope the students will shoulder their military responsibilities and will be eager to training to serve the country and its people.”
He urged the students to gain all skills to get ready to protect their nation and the people.
The college is on the right direction to prepare a new generation with high-level capability and professionalism, said Dr Al Marri.
The joining of the second batch of students reflects efforts of the Ministry of Interior to make the college a security and academic fort of the country, he added.
