Cairo: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice HE Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law and Chairman of the Arab Standing Committee on International Humanitarian Law, met with HE Minister of Justice Mahmoud Helmy Al-Sharif and Chairman of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law in the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the sidelines of the Arab Workshop on "Implementation of International Humanitarian Law at the National Level" in Cairo.
During the meeting, they reviewed ways to enhance cooperation in the field of international humanitarian law between the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law in the State of Qatar and the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in addition to discussing the areas of work of the Arab Standing Committee for International Humanitarian Law and enhancing its legal role at the Arab level.
Minister of Justice HE Mahmoud Helmy Al-Sharif and Chairman of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law in the Arab Republic of Egypt also welcomed the election of HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Chairman of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law and the first Chairman of the Arab Standing Committee on International Humanitarian Law, stressing the readiness of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law in the Arab Republic of Egypt to provide the required support for the work of the Committee and enhance its legal and humanitarian role at the Arab level.
