Doha: The Emir, H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani will pay an official visit to Algeria today during which he will hold talks with President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. The Emir will be accompanied by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani.
Doha: The Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee of the Advisory Council held a meeting yesterday under its rapporteur Nasser Rashid Seraye Al Kaabi.
The committee completed examination of a draft law on chemical weapons. The meeting was attended by Abdullah Muslim Al Dosari, Director of Legislation Department at the Cabinet’s General Secretariat; Brigadier General Hassan Saleh Al Nisef, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee on Arms Embargo; Engineer Saif Said Al Nuaimi, representative of the Ministry of Energy and Industry and Chairman of a working group of Chemical Weapons Convention at the National Committee on Arms Embargo.
DOHA: Industrial Area is getting a major facelift, with the QR2.3bn development project in full swing. The project is being implemented by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) that signed contracts worth a total of over QR6.6bn in May 2012 for development and renovation of several roads across the country.
The east part of the Industrial Area Road is being developed into three lanes on both sides with service roads. The F-Ring Road will be developed into three lanes on both sides with service roads and a 1.8km flyover will be built on the Mesaimeer-Central Market.
