Marzooq Shamlan Al Shamlan Holding invited members of the media to an exclusive gathering held at the holding’s head office.
The aim of this initiative was to introduce the holding generally and emphasise its business benefits and their operations specifically. The event was also an opportunity to further foster and solidify the group’s relationship with major media outlets in Qatar.
Group CEO, Joe Lahoud, first welcomed the invitees and gave a brief introduction about the holding, which has been formed a year ago, in an attempt to bring all operating companies under one umbrella.
Some of these companies have been historically operating in Qatar since 1958, under a creative vision built through years of continuous hard work towards innovation and service-excellence.
Currently, the holding is home to over 150 renowned international brands the likes of Bosch, Karcher, Goodyear, Snap-on, Timex, Citizen to name a few, catering to retail, automotive, commercial, warehousing, cleaning services and construction equipment sectors.
Lahoud’s welcome note was shortly followed by introductory speeches by each of the business units’ heads: Q-Tire and International Tire Center (ITC), International Construction Solutions (ICS), Qatar Trading Company, Karcher Center Doha, Tools R Us and Marzooq Shamlan & Sons (Crono and Watch Corner).
The gathering’s highlight was the presence of the Group’s Chairman, Tariq Al Shamlan, whose key message was: “We wanted to start the year with you reaffirming our partnership and valuing your contribution to our businesses and brands.” The event was concluded by a lunch, with an open discussion atmosphere between the media and the organisation’s executive committee.
