Doha: Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has invited entries from Qatar-based university/college students for an advertising competition on the theme of the National Programme for Conservation and Energy Efficiency — Tarsheed.
The first edition of the ‘Best Advertising Competition’ is launched by the Conservation and Energy Efficiency Department (Tarsheed).
It is being organised in collaboration with Doha Film Institute (DFI) which has signed a memorandum of understanding with Tarsheed to encourage young talents, especially Qatari.
The contest subject revolves round the creativity of the design of an effective print artwork or TVC reflecting the importance of conservation of electricity and water.
The aim of the creation/production is to promote environmental awareness and a culture of efficient usage of natural resources to have a better life and achieve Tarsheed’s slogan — ‘Keep Qatar Pulsing’ in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. The competition has two categories. The first is Visual Advertising TVC, in cooperation with DFI.
Video entry received in the format should not exceed 60 seconds. It should be of high quality and fit for public display. All entries ought to be in MOV/MPEG/MP4 format and uploaded through DFI website.
The second is Advertising Design category.
Entries must have consistency of colours, uniformity and harmony of elements and should be of high quality with minimum 1MB property.

All entries must comply with Qatar’s moral values and its national identity.

Winners will be announced and honoured at Tarsheed’s third annual celebration on April 22.
