Doha: MES Indian School hosted an impressive ceremony on the school’s football ground to welcome the 50th Amir Cup Trophy tour amidst the jubilation of football enthusiasts.
K Abdul Karim, President, MES Governing Board, unveiled the Amir Cup trophy. A welcome dance followed by a fusion of Arabic cultural dance, soccer performance of the students captivated the spectators. A students’ contingent parade of the 17 clubs participating in Amir Cup 2022 was another spectacle. A giant replica of the Amir Cup Qatar 2022 trophy was also displayed on the school ground.
The welcome ceremony was attended by Fadalah Ibrahim Fadalah, Social Responsibility Expert; Mohamed Hashim Sulaiman, Logistics officer; Abdulla Al Mansoori, Private Schools Education Consultant, Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education; Khaleel AP, Vice President; Ahamed Isham, General Secretary officiating; Ashraf Sharafudheen, Director of Finance; Hameeda Kadar, Principal; Shaheen Mohammed Shafi, MES alumni, the school officials and the students.
Earlier Jeswin Binu Chacko, the Head Prefect of MES Indian School, welcomed the gathering and Sehla Kabir proposed a vote of thanks.
