With Independent, private and community schools reopening after the summer break this week, schoolgoing children along with their parents are flocking to malls and shops to buy back-to-school items. Several commercial outlets are holding promotions for such items.
The majority of schools in the country will reopen on Tuesday. Some expatriate schools will reopen on Sunday or Monday.
A total of 12,863 students have been enrolled in Independent schools for the new academic year through online registration.
