ABUJA: Eighteen people died when a boat carrying about 80 passengers capsized on the Niger River in central Nigeria.
Eighteen bodies were recovered from the Niger River after a boat sank near Kokoli village, Nigeria's authorities said.
The accident took place as people were returning from a weekly market from Kokoli village.
This tragedy came barely six days after the boat mishap in Malale village along River Niger in which 26 lives were lost. (QNA)
