Qatar - Pakistan start official talks

DOHA: A round of official talks kicked off at the Emiri Diwan Premises here on Wednesday afternoon betweeen Qatar under HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Pakistan led by President Asif Ali Zardari.
 
The talks were attended on the Qatari side by a number of their excellencies the ministers while they were attended on the Pakistani side by their excellencies the members of the official delegation escorting President Zardari.
 
During their talks, the two sides discussed means of boosting and enhancing bilateral relations and reviewed a set of other regional and international issues of mutual concern.
 
Then HH the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of the Pakistani President and the accompanying delegation.
 
The distinguished guest arrived at the Emiri Diwan minutes prior to the talks' start where a red-carpet reception was accored to him.
 
President Zardari  arrived in Doha on Tuesday afternoon on a two-day visit to Qatar where he was welcomed upon arrival at Doha International Airport by HE Minister Of Justice Hassan Bin Abdullah Al Ghanem , HE Qatar's Ambassador to Pakistan Sayar Abdulrahman Jassim Jassim Almauda and Pakistani Ambassador to Qatar HE Mohamed Sarfraz A.Khanzada.
