DOHA: Katara Cultural Village, in partnership with the British Council and the Scottish Government will present Scotland Day, a celebration of Scottish culture as part of the Qatar Year of Culture 2013, on November 14.
Scotland Day will include a programme of Scottish and Celtic music with a live concert from the Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson Band, Katara said.
The day's celebrations from 6.30 pm to 9.30pm at Katara Drama Theatre.
Include traditional Scottish Country Dance display including an 'Orcadian Strip the Willow', a group dance that anyone can join in where guests can be swept away.
The event will be set against a backdrop of stunning Scottish photography, showcasing the country's heritage, creativity, culture, cuisine and hospitality and guests can sample a real flavour of Scotland at a food tasting reception, Katara said. (QNA)
