Doha: Companies and organisations in the country gathered for a beach clean-up on the coastlines of Qatar in line with the International Volunteer Day on December 5.
Groups conducted the undertaking at Sealine and Wakra, scouring the beach for rubbish. Among the groups include Cosette Solutions and Seafood Restaurant Little Sailor.
Cosette Solutions CEO, Omar Al Shamiyah said: “We are all lucky to call Qatar home, so we all want to do our part to keep it beautiful.” This is an excellent example of how Qatar’s corporations are focusing more heavily on sustainability-focused initiatives and Corporate Social Responsibility Programs, resulting in more volunteer opportunities for the residents of Qatar. Meanwhile, Little Sailor’s representative said: “Little Sailor’s team wants to help keep our oceans clean.”
