DOHA: Al Wakra Hospital, which was officially opened last month, carried out 67 surgeries until the end of December.
The operations covered a range of disciplines including general surgery, orthopaedic, dental and urology.
The hospital has already seen 38 babies born at its maternity unit.
With a staff of nearly 3,000, including more than 200 doctors and 1065 nursing staff the six-storey hospital houses emergency departments for adults, children and maternity as well as 210 beds (with a flexible capacity of a further 50) and 86 critical care and observation beds.
Services offered by Al Wakra Hospital include Cardiology, Dental, Ear Nose and Throat, General Medicine (including Endocrine and Gastro Intestinal), Endoscopic General Surgery, Day care Intensive Care for adults (medical and surgical), Maxillo-Facial, Renal Medicine (including dialysis), Obstetrics and Gynaecology, NICU, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatric medicine (including Intensive Care) and Urology.
