Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben is undecided on which of the clubs he may join at the end of the season.
The Dutch international yesterday also refused to admit or deny his next destination reportedly to be Inter Milan.
Robben, who has already announced plans that he will not renew his contract with Bavarian club at end of the season, said the ‘future is wide open’.
“I am privileged that clubs are showing interests,” the 34-year old dutch striker said in response to a question as to whether he has decided to join Italian giants.
“The future is wide open, it can go in any directions. We just wait and see what it will be in the end,” Robben, who is accompanying his club on a week-long winter camp in Doha, said at a press conference.
“It has been quite busy last few days, especially my dad who is also my agent, but it is nice to hear that clubs are interested.
“But as for me, what i have said before the winter break, the future is wide open, I am still waiting, I want to wait as well,” Robben said.
Robben said his current focus is to bounce back into the Bayern team.
On deciding on his impending transfer, Robben said he will not wait till the fag end of the season to make big career move.
The seasoned striker, on Bayern Munich’s chances in the Bundesliga, said: “It’s going to be very difficult, I think, it’s going to be a big challenge. For the moment we are six points behind so we have to chase them. And again we have proved in the last few games before the winter break that we can do it and hopefully we will continue the same way and we will chase them (Borussia Dortmund) and hopefully put pressure on them but the only thing we have think about is winning our own games.”
On the Champions League chances, Robben said Bayern Munich have it in them to beat Liverpool.
“They are doing a great job. Last season they reached the Champions League final. And still this season they are one of the favourities to win the Champions League. For us probably it is most difficult draw. But it is a good challenge. We have to work hard ourselves and try to improve things.”
Robben is happy the way Dutch and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk career is taking shape.
“I am really happy for him (Virgil), for the big steps he has taken in his career especially he developed as a player and as a personality as well, I am just happy for him where he is at the moment.
Being an important youth player and also the national team of Netherlands and he is now captain of the national team, so it is big compliments the way he has developed himself,” he added.
