Arjen Robben has backed Qatar to host a successful World Cup 2022, saying the Gulf state will emulate nations who have delivered blockbusters in the past.
“Hopefully it will be a great tournament,” Robben said of Qatar 2022. “There are always positive and negative sounds, but it is for all the tournaments. The last few World Cups were big success and I am almost sure that this one (in Qatar) is going to be a big success like the previous editions, ” the star said.
Asked as to whether he will make the Qatar move somewhere down the line in his career, Robben said: “Future is wide open. I don’t think I have so many years left. But for the moment I am feeling good.”
