Doha, Qatar: Al Wakrah Old Souq, in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan in Qatar, is set to host the Pakistan Citrus Festival in January 2026, highlighting Pakistan’s globally recognised citrus produce and related products.

The festival will take place at Farḍat Al-Madhoub (the waterfront area) at Al Wakrah Old Souq from January 10 to 18, 2026, organisers said.

The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 4pm to 9pm, offering visitors an opportunity to explore and sample premium Pakistani citrus varieties, particularly the internationally renowned kinnow.

Pakistan ranks as the 12th largest citrus producer in the world, with an annual production of approximately 2.4 million tonnes, according to the embassy figures.

Of this, around 400,000 tonnes of kinnows are exported to markets worldwide, supported by internationally recognised Global GAP and HACCP quality certifications.

The festival also highlights Pakistan’s expanding agricultural exports, backed by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), which continues to promote Pakistani fruit in global markets. Citrus exports, particularly kinnows, generated an estimated $328.5 million in export revenues during 2024–2025, reflecting growing international demand.

The event aims to provide residents and visitors with a unique platform to experience the quality and diversity of Pakistani agricultural products in a traditional market setting.
