Laguna: Reporter Jun Baldecantos of the tabloid People’s Tonight had just come from the school of his four-year-old child in Bacoor City, Cavite and was eating in a nearby store when unidentified men fired at him yesterday morning.
Baldecantos, 42, who used to be a columnist and reporter of another tabloid, Hataw, survived the attack with three bullet wounds in the chest and thigh.
Senior Superintendent Romeo Baleros, deputy provincial director for operations of the Cavite police, said Baldecantos was on his way to his office after dropping by his child’s school when two motorcycle-riding men in black jackets attacked him.
