Doha: Area 27, Division of J of Toastmasters International recently conducted its Annual Speech Contest at Radisson Blu under the able leadership of Area Director, Rangamani Ravi with Muthurangan Shanmugam as the contest manager.
Contestants from four clubs, Doha Advanced Toastmasters, Talking Matters, Wakra Toastmasters and VIP Toastmasters club battled it out under all the four categories of Speech Contests. Nisha Shivram and Subair Pandavath emerged winners in the International and Humorous Speech Categories while Deepak Shivankar picked up the winning trophies for both Table Topics and Evaluation Speech Contests.
Toastmasters Sivaprakaash, Jayakumar Aruldoss, Aneesh Abdul Ghani and Asfia Salim Wagle were second place winners in the respective categories.
The housefull event was graced by the presence of District 20 Program Quality Director DTM Rajeswar Sundaresan and Division J Director Venkatesan Kulandaivelu. Senior Toastmasters like DTM Raghavan Menon, DTM Rammohan Rai, TM Safeer Azeez, TM Philip Cherian and many other dignitaries from the toastmasters fraternity also graced he occasion.
